New Roadmap for MyGANTT

Hello everyone,
MyGANTT software has gone through quite a complicated journey in recent years.
It has changed its name several times, and I have often wondered whether to make it private or public.

However, only two things have never changed:
1) It has always been free and always will be.
2) Its simplified management philosophy.

The last one is the most complicated thing to manage because I often feel like adding features. I get a lot of requests from users to add features they need, but I often have to give up on doing so because they are not in line with the underlying philosophy of the project: simplicity.

Before adding a new feature, I have to carefully evaluate whether it would make the program more complicated or even distort its philosophy.

I won’t hide the fact that I am often tempted to do so, but I always try to resist. It was born simple and must remain simple. This is what makes it different from all other project management programs.

I periodically review the roadmap, which is what I am doing right now.

We have reached version 9.1, and for all 9.X versions, I will continue to fix all bugs, add things I missed, and check that everything is as simple as it should be. If it is not, I will fix it. Sometimes I also make changes to aspects of the user interface and the user experience in general.

Of course, I will also continue to optimize the software with (nerdy) tools such as unit tests and code coverage, which help me improve the quality and performance of the software. A huge help also comes from all of you who use it and report any bugs you encounter.

From version 10 onwards, the software will no longer be in beta but will become RTM, i.e., ready for the market and for use without any problems.
